Philosophy
The development towards Ambient Intelligence, meaning the all-encompassing networking of "intelligent" everyday devices, will be decisive for communication technology development.
The current migration of telecommunication services to IP will accelerate the development of differentiated, (business) applications of integrated communication services.
Success in view of both developments depends upon reusable technologies, standards, concepts and modules to develop and utilize. Only by using procedures based on these are solutions able to be developed under managable constraints.
